“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure”

When someone we love dies, it can be a devastating experience.

Bereavement counselling provides a safe space to explore the complex feelings that can arise from losing someone close.

We may find that lots of emotions overtake us, such as anger, denial, hopelessness and even depressive feelings and thoughts.

When someone dies, we can go into shock. It is believed that this state of shock allows us to function and make practical decisions such as the funeral arrangements and paperwork, but once the shock state eases, we can fall into a depressive or anxious state.

This is where talking to a trained counsellor can really help.
